Shocking but unsurprising news regarding the passing of technology legend Steve Jobs. Unsurprising given his sudden departure as CEO of Apple back in August, a job I am sure he must have loved, but still shocking to hear it without any earthquakes or fire falling from the sky. It is just a quiet night here in my Brooklyn apartment with wife, son and two dogs. A sudden, terrible pause and then continuation.
Jobs was what so many of us working in technology hope to be, an inspiration who profoundly marked the shape of time.
Condolences to his family, his friends and to all that knew him.
